FAQs

do you do one-off or short-term projects?

Assuming I have the bandwidth, yes. Projects with a clear goal and end date are fun for me and often lead to another.

how do you differentiate your clients to ensure content looks uniqe?

I am a big believer in brand authenticity and protection. I always take steps to dive into a brand’s identity, story and established elements before executing work. I like to start from a place of understanding The “who what and why.” From there, it’s pretty to avoid getting caught in a “house palate” routine of stale creative. Content is tailored for the brand. It tells your story, not mine.

DO YOU WORK OUTSIDE THE WINE INDUSTRY?

The majority of my background is in wine and wine tourism marketing. However, I started my career in branding for vitamins and have consulted on marketing projects in beauty, natural foods and large athletic events. I love new challenges. So if you have a non-wine product and want to chat, please reach out!

how to you communicate with clients

This varies on the location and preferences of the client and on the unique needs of the project. I am never far from reach on email, phone or text message and I am flexible on meeting in-person, on the phone or over video conferencing.

how many clients do you have?

This will vary with my project load. Please ask when we meet. I never take on a new project if I don’t have the time to execute my new and existing projects with quality and give each the attention it deserves.

DO YOU OUTSOURCE WORK OR HIRE OTHER PROFESSIONALS?

In the majority of cases I will be the one executing marketing, pr and strategy projects. In the case of project management where a skill set such as advanced graphic design, photography or web programming is needed, I will outsource that part of the program with the clients approval of the third-party vendor. I have a network of very talented photographers and designers as well as wine experts, writers and event professionals. If I can’t do it, I probably know someone who can.

what are you drinking?

As I write this? Green tea. But if we are talking wine (and we usually are) I’m enjoying a variety of reds from a case my husband and I stored in my in-laws cellar (basement) a few years ago and then forgot about. It’s mostly Rhones from a trip to Paso Robles we took. West side stuff: Tablas Creek, Halter Ranch, Adelaida. Mostly 2012-2014 vintages. They have been awesome across the board and perfect for a rainy winter.
